This raw green Pu Erh is from 2015 and comes from China. It is hand picked and very carefully processed into this cake.
Pu-erh goes way back in history. The so-called "cakes" or "bricks" used to be used for all kinds of reasons. The cake was convenient to transport, then on horseback for barter, to be used again as a means of payment or simply as a noble gift.
Pu-erh comes from Yunnan, China and is basically a post-fermented tea. This means that this tea is actually still maturing while you are storing it. So it gets better with age!
Pu-erh tea is a pressed tea in a kind of cake form, of which you break off a piece and make tea with it. Are you ready to try it?
