About the Author:
Eve Arnold was an American photojournalist renowned for capturing diverse subjects, from celebrities to the everyday lives of ordinary people. Her work revealed hidden worlds, including the Civil Rights and Black Power movements, Arab women in harems and hammams, and the struggles of the underprivileged. Beginning her career in 1946 with Kodak in New Jersey, Arnold became the first woman to join Magnum Photos. Her photos of Marilyn Monroe on the set of The Misfits (1961) are among her most iconic works, showcasing her curiosity and profound understanding of her subjects.
